The Company has maintained a sustained production and export endeavour since the year 1990. Incorporated in 1991, Unique soon converted to a public limited company in 1995. The Company has a state of the art manufacturing unit in the western province of India at Bhavnagar, Gujarat, known for the finest quality of onion and garlic. The plant is ideally located in a clean, bone-dry atmosphere most suitable for the dehydration industry, a close to the west coast ports.

The Company is lead by Managing Director Mr. Rajendra B. Sharma, a young and Experienced entrepreneur, who has gained the industry’s front rank position in a decade Of quick strides. His energetic attitude to quality and inspection is the main factor in boosting sales in the export market.

Unique is already exporting to Europe, Canada, Australia, Japan and Africa. Samples sent to prospective export targets have fetched overwhelming response, so that the Company is poised to expand its market reach and gain a conspicuous position.

Company Aims

Unique dehydrates Ltd. Produce dehydrated onions and Garlic in different forms like chopped, kibbled, minced, granules and powder for the domestic and export markets. The product is also in the form of toasted slices processed in hot air closed continuous system that preserves the natural integrity of the product without any loss of flavour, colour and aroma.

The process is completely natural with no use of any preservatives or chemicals. The facility for making onion and garlic powder upto 500 Mesh is thoroughly ultra –modern.

We have already initiated to venture into the domestic market by introducing our products in retail packet forms under the brand name FLORA. The concept has been introduced for the convenience of Indian working women, households, hotels, catering, resorts, restaurants, food industry, etc.

At a time when we are catering to the needs of overseas consumers to their fullest satisfaction, it becomes our moral duty to serve our own country man. The Indian economy has been fast developing and trend towards fast food have come along with this, which is a boosting factor to FLORA. The difficulties faced in using Onion and Garlic has inspired us to introduce FLORA in different forms viz. Kibbled, Flakes, Granules, Minced & Powder. We are sure that FLORA will definitely be a boon for the cooking generation in the years to come.

Onion and Garlic being the main crops of the province, Unique’s active association with agricultural producers and farmers enables procurement of best quality raw material. To 
Ensure best quality finished products, control is exercised at every stage from cultivation and harvesting to processing, packing, dispatching etc.

To meet off-season requirement, the Company’s own storage facilities ensure supply of raw material for processing throughout year.

The Company’s marketing experts and food technologists, who are highly qualified in appraisal of agro-products such as the various types of onion and garlic that are processed without any preservatives and chemicals, ascertain that the finished product offered compares favourably with foreign products.

Strict hygienic conditions govern the operations. The Inspection Department continually monitors every stage of processing, from examining random samples to processing to packaging. Strict adherence to high quality and excellent packaging specifications is maintained at all times.

  • Garlic- 3000 Mts per year

The following procedures are routine and reflects our uncompromising attitude to quality, packaging & dispatch:

  • Good quality raw onions are procured

  • The various departments follow rigid quality control procedures

  • All export cargoes are being containerised

  • Stuffing of cargo is done at Factory premises under personal supervision

  • Fumigation is carried-out regularly with required dosage in containers & factory premises

  • All export consignments are duly sampled and certified
